** Jeanne Hébuterne ({Meaux, Seine-et-Marne, France, April 6, 1898 – January 25, 1920 in Paris} is a French painter). She is known today for his romantic relationship with Amedeo Modigliani. The origins of the Hébuterne family plunge into the small village briard Varreddes, from which was born Jeanne's paternal grandfather. His father, Achille Casimir Hébuterne, earns his life as an accountant, and his mother, Eudoxie Anaïs Tellier, fills the role of mistress of the House without other known occupation.Jeanne Hébuterne studied at the Académie Colarossi and met Amedeo Modigliani, in March 1917, at the Rotunda. The father of Jeanne became cashier in a haberdashery. Cultivated man, fond of literature of the 17th century, converted to Catholicism and austere manners, he sees as a result of a very evil eye this relationship with a Jewish painter considers depraved. Jeanne, a young girl from a good family, lives a crazy love which unites him to Modigliani. Brother of Jeanne, André Hébuterne, worked also as a landscape painter. Against the advice of his father, Jeanne moved with Modigliani rue de la Grande-Chaumière, in Montparnasse, in a shop that rents them Léopold Zborowski. But the disease struck Modigliani and nothing can force him to limit his drug abuse. On November 29, 1918, in the maternity ward of Nice, Jeanne gives birth to a girl, declared to the civil State under the identity of Jeanne Hébuterne. Modigliani health continues to worsen; He died of tubercular meningitis, 36 years, on January 24, 1920. By hate, the parents of Jeanne refused to honour only 24 hours the remains of the painter. The next morning, beyond the vigilance of his relatives, Jeanne throws herself out the window from the 5th floor of the apartment of his parents, 8 bis, rue Amyot, in the 5th arrondissement of Paris. On 27 January, Modigliani is buried as a prince"in the cemetery of Père Lachaise, surrounded by many friends, while Jeanne is buried in the cemetery of Bagneux. A few years later, she will be buried beside her.
