Marc Dailly was born in 1978 in Geneva. He studied in Lyon, at the Emile Cohl school, where he obtained his diploma as an illustrator in 2004. But very quickly he devoted himself to painting, his first passion, and in particular to oil, a real heart stroke. He finds his inspiration in the art of the 19th and 20th centuries, from the realism of the Russian school to the Nabis. This is why his first paintings are very classic. He fears becoming entangled in a sclerosing and unproductive rigidity. He nevertheless manages to exhibit each year in various galleries in France, Switzerland and Germany. It is by taking a closer interest in contemporary figurative painting that Marc Dailly manages to liberate his technique by playing on the “unspoken”. "I'm afraid of controlling my painting too much, I prefer to give free rein to my subconscious, which will probably know how to tell stories much better than I do."
